Wolverhampton Wanderers will make the trip to Wales to take on Cardiff City tomorrow night.
Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s clash with Cardiff in Wales tonight, and delivered an honest verdict on Neil Warnock, explaining why he chose not to vote for the 69-year-old for the Manager of the Year award, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, six points clear of the Bluebirds, although they have played a game more than the Welsh side.
Tomorrow’s game will surely be a fiery contest, with both sides fighting it out for the second tier title.
Warnock added fuel to the fire earlier this week when he admitted that he did not vote for Nuno as his choice for Manager of the Year.
The Portuguese responded yesterday, though, taking a pot-shot at the Cardiff boss by explaining why he opted against voting for him, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“I have my personal vision, my vote was not for Neil Warnock because I believe football is an idea and the way teams play is the idea of their managers. I prefer another kind of approach and ideas on football.”
Wolves will be looking to return to the Black Country with at least a point to show for their efforts, but if Cardiff win the game, the race for the Championship title really will be on.
