The Wolverhampton Wanderers man has made drastic improvements over the past few weeks.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 3-1 win away at Everton yesterday, and offered high words of praise for Leander Dendoncker, suggesting that he is very happy for the Belgian, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 23-year-old joined the Black Country outfit from Anderlecht on a seasons-long loan in the summer, and the deal will become a permanent one at the end of this season, according to BBC Sport.
Dendoncker struggled to establish himself initially at Molineux, but he has shown signs in recent weeks that he will go on to be a very important player for Wolves.
Nuno addressed the media yesterday, and shared how hard the six-capped Belgium international has been working recently, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“I’m very happy for him, he’s working very hard. He had a very good chance in the first half. He helped the team which is the most important thing.”
Wolves currently sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, and their hopes of securing a Europa League spot will be greatly boosted by having Dendoncker reaching peak form at just the right time.
The Belgian still has a long way to go, but he has proven that he is capable of great things. Whether he finds the consistency to match his talent, however, remains to be seen.
