Nottingham Forest have announced on their official website that Robert Tesche has been voted their Player of the Month for December.
A man brought to the City Ground as a free agent last summer has emerged as a key performer for Forest in the middle of the park.
His tireless running and penchant for a spectacular strike from distance have quickly endeared the German to the City Ground faithful.
He enjoyed his most productive run to date during the busy festive period, and has seen his efforts acknowledged after edging out Matty Fryatt and Michail Antonio in a supporter poll.

Tesche started the month on the bench, but stepped off it to net in a 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic.
He was then included from the start in Forest’s next four outings and did his reputation no harm during a testing run for Stuart Pearce’s side.
The 27-year-old is proving to be a shrewd acquisition for the Championship club and Forest would be wise to extend his one-year deal before others start taking note of his talent and possible availability.
