Jamie Carragher has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports, that Hugo Lloris isn’t good enough for Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho has come under fire at Tottenham this season, with his defensive approach arguably not having the success which many expected.
Spurs have sat back on leads in numerous matches, only to to be pegged back by opposition sides.
And Carragher feels that part of the reason why Mourinho is struggling at Spurs is because the quality of the players in his backline aren’t good enough.
“This is another point about Jose being reactive,” Carragher said.
“He has had success doing this. He would get in front – and I have played against his teams – and you are not even getting a draw. The draw was the best you were getting.
“At Chelsea, he had John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho. At Inter, he had Walter Samuel and Lucio, two of the best centre-backs you will ever see. Tottenham’s defenders are nowhere near good enough, and neither is the goalkeeper, to hold onto leads.”

Tottenham actually possessed one of the best defensive records in the Premier League at one stage, but they have shown signs of real vulnerability.
Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez have not convinced at centre-back all season.
Lloris’s form also must be a concern at this point for Tottenham.
The French goalkeeper really raised his level when Mourinho first came in, but in recent months errors have started creeping back into game.
Mourinho has kept faith in Lloris so far and continuously started him, but he was abject for Tottenham against Manchester City and Everton recently, and calls for him to be replaced in the summer are now growing louder.
