Yesterday, Leeds scout Paco Peral revealed his next scouting mission on Twitter, having previously tuned in to watch Borussia Monchengladbach hammer Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
The Spaniard tweeted that he would be tuning in to watch PAS Giannina take on AE Larisa in the Greek Super League, after grabbing a ‘good coffee’ of course.
We detailed that Peral may have been watching Bundesliga stars Alassane Plea and Christoph Kramer in Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
However, it is much more difficult to imagine who the Leeds scout was watching in this game, as there were few well-known stars on the field.
Additionally, not many players make the move from the Greek Super League to the Premier League, so this was definitely a unique transfer mission in which a lesser-known player was potentially on the agenda.

There were a few players who may have caught Peral’s eye.
One of them being 19-year-old striker Dimitrios Pinakas, who scored his first two Super League goals of the campaign for AE Larisa as they won 2-1.

24-year-old forward Jean-Baptiste Leo – who netted PAS Giannina’s goal – may also have caught Peral’s eye after finding his way onto the scoresheet.
It may have been an unusual scouting mission, although Leeds did very well in the market back in the summer – they could potentially have a surprise gem in their sights.
