After the 2026 World Cup draw, the fever for the festival of football is at an all-time high for the America-hosted event.
The World Cup will take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with matches expected to take place in huge cities such as Philadelphia, Boston, and New York City.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are expected to compete in the final World Cup of their careers as the Argentinians look to defend the title.
Tennis ace Novak Djokovic has dropped a bold prediction about what he thinks the final of the tournament will be.

Novak Djokovic’s bold prediction for the 2026 World Cup
Speaking at the Qatar Grand Prix, Djokovic was adamant about which two teams would make it to the World Cup final in 2026.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion said: “I’m going to be blunt about it, Portugal… and they’re going to beat Mexico in the final.”
Mexico have never reached the final of a World Cup, with their best-ever performance seeing the nation reach the round of 16.
The nation reached the round of 16 in seven straight World Cups between 1994 and 2018, and their last appearance saw them crash out in the group stage.
Portugal have never won the tournament either, with their best performance coming in 1966 when they finished third.
The team, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, lost to Morocco in the quarter-finals during their last appearance in 2022.
Who will Mexico and Portugal play at the 2026 World Cup?
As one of the home nations, big things will be expected of Mexico at the World Cup and they have been given a fairly straightforward group.
The nation will play South Korea, South Africa, and the winner of either Denmark, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland, or North Macedonia in the playoff.
Portugal, meanwhile, have also been given a kind draw with matches against Colombia, Uzbekistan, and either DR Congo, Jamaica, or New Caledonia.
Both teams should comfortably get out of their group, but it’s highly unlikely that Djokovic will be right with his prediction of them both reaching the final.
