Many of the Reds faithful did not seem to approve of the Hampshire referee’s appointment for Monday’s Championship derby against the Rams.

The EFL has named the referee set to take charge of Nottingham Forest’s huge Championship clash with Derby County on Monday night.
Keith Stroud will take charge of the game at Pride Park and will be assisted Nick Greenhalgh and James Mainwaring, with Darren England the fourth official.
The Hampshire official was the man in the middle for the Reds’ 1-0 loss to the Rams in March 2016, when Marcus Olsson scored with 11 minutes to go against Paul Williams’ charges.
Stroud has refereed 10 games this season in all competitions (Soccerbase), including the Reds’ 2-1 home defeat to Norwich in October which saw Costel Pantilimon, Ben Watson and Joao Carvalho all booked.
In addition, he has shown 29 bookings this campaign but is yet to issue a red card, a statistic that could potentially be tested in the fiery fixture that is the East Midlands derby.
Some Forest fans reacted to Stroud’s appointment by making their feelings known on Twitter, and the majority of those comments were not particularly positive:
Victory for Forest at Pride Park would see Aitor Karanka’s side go up into the Championship playoffs, ahead of his former club Middlesbrough.
