Nottingham Forest have been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market throughout this season.
They have already made a record number signings and with the January transfer window coming to a close, they are still on the lookout for potential additions to boost their squad.
One player who has been strongly linked with a move to the City Ground is Newcastle United’s Jonjo Shelvey. The experienced midfielder has proven himself at this level time and time again, and his arrival at Forest would provide a significant boost to their midfield options.
With the likes of Remo Freuler, Danilo and Ryan Yates already at the club, Forest have a number of central midfield options, but Shelvey would bring a new level of quality and experience to the squad.

Another player who has been linked with a move to Forest is Wolves’ Romain Saiss. The Moroccan international had a very impressive World Cup with Morocco, but Besiktas reportedly aren’t keen to sell.
Atletico Madrid’s Felipe is another name that has been linked with a move to Forest in recent weeks. The experienced centre-back has fallen out of favour at the Wanda Metropolitano and a move to Forest would provide him with the opportunity to play regular first-team football.
Another big name signing that Forest could make is Keylor Navas. The PSG number two has reportedly told the Reds that he wants to join, so a deal is very possible.
Finally, Andre Ayew has been linked with a move to Forest as an attacking option, however, it’s unlikely that the club will make any more attacking signings this window. The East Midlands club have a number of talented forwards who are established in Steve Cooper’s plans.
Whether or not these rumours lead to transfers remains to be seen, but, in our view, Forest’s starting XI post-deadline day could look something like this.

We think it’s quite probable that Navas, Shelvey and Felipe head to the City Ground and add to what is an already bloated squad.
Whether or not our prediction rings true remains to be seen, but this should be an exciting deadline day for Forest fans.
