Despite a dark season, this 22-year-old has been a shining light at The City Ground.

The 2016/17 Championship season has been a bleak one for Nottingham Forest fans, though it hasn’t been all bad for the relegation threatened club, who are currently one point above the drop zone.
Even in the worst of seasons, there will be at least one player that stands out and shines, and while several Forest players have shown glimpses of their quality, Ben Osborn has shown it all season long.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who has excelled both as a winger and in the number 10 role, will always hold a place in the fans’ hearts after his 92nd minute winner against Derby County in 2015, but there’s so much more to his game.
Osborn’s desire to win is admirable, with the midfielder putting a shift in for every single game he plays, while his vision, passing and intelligence seems to improve with every match.

There have been times, especially recently, this season where Osborn has struggled, but that’s mainly been down to shambolic tactics rather than just poor form.
Going into the international break, Osborn has four goals and six assists for the Reds this season, despite only being 22. The potential the midfielder has is huge, and there is no doubts that Osborn will play in the Premier League one day – with or without Forest.
