Nottingham Forest loanee Lee Tomlin has sparked anger from Bristol City fans, through his tweets this afternoon.

Tomlin’s parent club Cardiff City took on his former employers, Bristol City, in what was a crucial promotion contest in the Championship and the 29-year-old may no secret of where his allegiances were lying.

Tomlin tweeted before and after the game cheering on Cardiff, which sparked anger from Robins fans.

Tomlin spent 18 months at Bristol City, before moving to Cardiff last summer.

The attacking midfielder only played a bit part role at Cardiff, but clearly wanted Neil Warnock’s side to continue their push for promotion today, at the expense of Bristol City.

Aitor Karanka appears to be getting the best out of the forward again, and he has knocked in three goals in Forest’s last two outings.
