Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side are said to be keen to sign Nottingham Forest playmaker Joe Lolley this summer.

Joe Lolley has tweeted his clear intention to be at Nottingham Forest for the start of pre season, amid links with Aston Villa.
Lolley is a Villa fan and the idea of joining his boyhood club for their first season back in the Premier League must have some appeal.
However, it seems that Lolley’s focus is fully on Forest, ahead of their return to training.
Whether Forest will be able to hold on to Lolley for the remainder of the summer is not clear.
Villa clearly have money to spend, and they have worked sharply in the transfer window so far.
Dean Smith’s side are still negotiating many transfers, and they could step up their interest in the Forest man at a later date.
Lolley was arguably Forest’s best player last season, and if he does stick around it will be a major boost to Martin O’Neill’s side’s promotion chances.
