Gary Gardner is set to spend the rest of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest from Aston Villa.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Gardner has reacted on Twitter, after being named in WhoScored.com’s Team of the Week.
Gardner put in an excellent performance for Forest, as they beat Leeds United 1-0 at Elland Road last weekend.
The Aston Villa loanee was named in the Championship Team of the Week, alongside Bojan Jokic, and he expressed his delight on social media.
Gardner joined Forest back in January, and he has made an immediate impact for Dougie Freedman’s side.
The 23-year-old impressed while on a loan spell at the City Ground last term, and he appears to have picked up where he left up.
Forest are yet to lose a Championship matches when Gardner has played, and they are currently on an eye-catching run of form.
Although the Reds are still some way back from the play offs, they have managed to close the gap on the top six to eight points, and their next fixture comes against Huddersfield Town.
