Lee Tomlin joined Nottingham Forest on loan from Cardiff City in the January transfer window.

Nottingham Forest attacker Lee Tomlin recently explained on social networking site Twitter his decision to leave Cardiff City on loan.
Tomlin joined Forest on loan from Championship rivals Cardiff in the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as an attacking midfielder, was struggling to make an impact at the Bluebirds, but the former Peterborough United star has been superb for the Reds so far.
The Englishman has scored three goals and provided one assist in 313 minutes of Championship football for Forest.

Given the impact that Tomlin has made for Aitor Karanka’s side since his loan move from Cardiff, many Forest fans will hope that the attacker signs a permanent contract with the Reds in the summer of 2018.
However, from the 29-year-old’s aforementioned tweets, it seems that he is not keen on severing his ties with Cardiff just yet.
If the Welsh club get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season, then Tomlin could be tempted to try to establish himself in the Cardiff first team, meaning that Forest would find it hard to sign him on a permanent contract.
