According to the Sun on Sunday (May 13th, page 63), Nottingham Forest want to sign Lewis Grabban this summer and the striker would be a great addition to Aitor Karanka’s side.

Bournemouth seem likely to offload Grabban in the summer transfer window, with the striker said to be valued at £5 million.

And if Forest could bring Grabban to the City Ground, they would be a much bigger threat next season.

Lewis Grabban of Sunderland scores a goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Sunderland at Villa Park on November 21, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

The Reds have struggled for goals this term, with only six teams in the Championship hitting the back of the net on fewer occasions.

Forest’s top scorer is currently Kieran Dowell, who is the only player in their squad to have hit double figures for the campaign.

Lewis Grabban of Aston Villa looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Birmingham City at Villa Park on February 11, 2018 in Birmingham, England.

Grabban, on the other hand, has struck 20 goals on loan spells with Sunderland and Aston Villa.

And if Forest could have that sort of firepower, then they would immediately become a much bigger threat.

Grabban may be 30 now, and not hold much re-sale value, but he could be just what Karanka’s side need.

And if the Reds have a chance to snap him up, then they should do everything in their power to get a deal over the line.
