Nottingham Forest will find it difficult to keep striker Britt Assombalonga this summer, according to their former player Des Lyttle.
Lyttle, who played for Forest for six years between 1993 and 1999, believes that despite the 24-year-old’s injury problems, his goal record will make him a transfer target over the coming months.

“It’s been a bit stop start for him with injuries, but he looks capable of scoring 20-odd goals in a season, which means he’s probably going to be hard to keep hold of,” Lyttle told the Nottingham Post.
Assombalonga scored 14 goals in just 20 Sky Bet Championship starts in 2016/17 as he once again struggled with injury during the campaign.
In fact fitness has been a major issue since the forward joined the Reds from Peterborough United in the summer of 2014 and that may be why no club has come in for him as yet.

However, with 30 goals in 69 Forest appearances to date it is easy to see why Lyttle thinks that his former side may find it tough to keep hold of Assombalonga.
Yet if he can just keep him fit and at the club, the striker could be the missing piece of the jigsaw for manager Mark Warburton to make a serious promotion push.
