Forest are a club in turmoil at present off the pitch, and don’t have a manager on it. Neither side have won any of their last seven matches between them, but the home crowd’s patience is wearing very thin and this could play into the Robins’ favour.

The fact that Gary Brazil has once again been forced to step into the caretaker role just epitomises the instability surrounding Forest under Fawaz Al Hasawi. They are goalless in their last three games in all competitions and don’t expect an unconfident side to bring an end to that run against an equally out-of-form Bristol City.

Both Forest and Bristol City are in shocking form and looking firmly over their shoulders, dangerously close to the relegation zone. Forest are capable of nicking a win at home though and they should sneak this one.

This is very much a six-pointer and Forest’s home advantage gives them the edge. Whoever wins can start to pull away from the relegation zone and a narrow victory for the hosts looks likely.

Both teams will see this as a chance to get a long overdue win, neither has won since the start of December and the pair of them are in serious relegation trouble. Will be interesting to see if Forest respond positively to Montanier’s departure, but I can’t pick a winner here, which won’t help either.
