Blackpool are reportedly interested in signing Josh Bowler on loan once the winger returns to Nottingham Forest from Olympiacos.
According to the Daily Mail, the 23-year-old attacker is due to return to England soon having failed to impress out on Greece with Forest’s sister club, with Blackpool now keen on signing Bowler just a few months after the forward left Bloomfield Road to join the Premier League side.
With Bowler immediately going out on loan to Olympiacos, the attacker is yet to show Steve Cooper what he is capable of at a Premier League level. However, there is now an expectation that the winger will return to Lancashire with Blackpool in January.
The former Everton academy star was one of the Tangerine’s best players in the Championship last season as Bowler bagged seven goals and two assists, with the forward even bagging twice this campaign before moving to Forest in the summer.

Indeed, signing for the City Ground side has not worked out for Bowler just yet, yet a return to Blackpool could be perfect for the winger given just how good the 23-year-old was for the Championship side before his move to Forest and Olympiacos.
With Blackpool also sitting in the relegation zone, Bowler’s return could be a massive boost for Michael Appleton’s side heading into the second-half of the season, with Forest likely to sanction a move for the forward to leave the City Ground on loan back to the Championship.
Blackpool signing Bowler on loan could save their season

Bowler’s loan spell in Greece was far from ideal, with the 23-year-old making just three starts in all competitions for Olympiacos in which the attacker failed to score or assist, yet a return to Blackpool could be perfect for the Forest man and one that could save the Tangerines from relegation.
Labelled as ‘magic’ by David Unsworth, Bowler has the quality and the track record to push Blackpool out of the drop zone, with the forward also likely to be fired up to play his best football following his dire loan spell in Greece with Olympiacos.
