Arvin Appiah scored his first senior goal for Nottingham Forest last week in the Carabao Cup.

The 17-year-old’s late goal was one of the few positive takeaways from their defeat to Burton Albion.

Appiah was back with Forest’s under-23s this past weekend and he continued his impressive form.

The teenager scored direct from a free-kick to seal Forest’s 4-0 away win over their Hull City counterparts.

It capped a dream end to a perfect week for Appiah.

The young winger is under contract to Forest until 2020 and the club will be rushing to tie him into an extended deal if he keeps up his strong form.

He turns 18 on January 1 and he will be looking to try and gain more first team chances even before then.

Forest’s squad is more competitive than in recent memory but Appiah certainly got himself noticed in midweek.

If he can continue scoring at under-23 level then more first team chances will beckon.
