The Dutchman is expecting to head back to Holland.
Nottingham Forest’s Lars Veldwijk looks dejected
Nottingham Forest striker Lars Veldwijk has confirmed he wants to leave the club and return to Holland before the transfer window closes this evening.
Speaking to Fox Sports the striker confirmed he was wanted by four Dutch clubs and that he was hopeful of a move:
“I expect it to be clarified quickly and if it works, then a return to the Eredivisie is absolutely an option.
“At FC Utrecht and ADO Den Haag I am wanted provided Sébastien Haller and Mike Havenaar still make a transfer. And at my old club Excelsior I am also welcome. PEC Zwolle has also been provided.”

He also stated that he has options elsewhere as well:
“Further games there are some things include Belgium, Turkey and Greece. Time is running out, but I am hopeful that it will come good.”
The news comes not long after the Dutchman finally scored his first goal for Nottingham Forest.
After a poor first season at the club he went on to depart Forest for Zwolle last summer and went on to perform well in the Dutch Eredivisie – scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances for the club.
That form has seen him linked with several moves away from Forest this summer and it appears he is hopeful of an exit before the transfer window closes.
Forest are however short in the striking position. Matty Fryatt and Dexter Blackstock are long-term injury absentees whilst Apostolos Vellios is yet to score for the club. Add to that a potential trip to the African Cup of Nations for Britt Assombalonga and Forest may be remiss to selling their Dutch enigma.
