The Potters ace scored his first goal for the club but was then subbed off in the Championship draw with Aston Villa last time out.

Nottingham Forest could be set for a boost in their Championship trip to Stoke City after manager Nathan Jones suggested that it’ll be a “tight” call as to whether or not Sam Vokes will be declared fit to feature against the Reds.
The 29-year-old joined the Potters from Burnley in January for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-and-a-half-year deal and being described as a “marquee player” by the club’s manager (official Stoke website).
Vokes, who made 28 appearances for the Clarets this term ahead of his move, has played five times for Stoke since his January switch, and scored his first goal for them in last week’s 1-1 draw at Aston Villa (Transfermarkt), but could only get through just over 15 minutes of the match.
As per a statement on the Stoke website, the Wales international was substituted after complaining of soreness in his groin and has been receiving intensive treatment this week, and Jones added: “Look, we’re assessing him every day. No decision has been made yet but it’s going to be a tight one for him.”
Forest returned to winning ways on Monday night with a 1-0 triumph over local rivals Derby County, while Stoke have failed to win in their last six matches, though they have drawn their last three.
Martin O’Neill’s charges currently sit ninth in the Championship table, three points adrift of the playoffs, while the Potters have slipped down to 18th in the standings and are now closer to the relegation zone (11-point gap) than the top six (12-point gap).
