Frank Lampard’s Derby County side and Aitor Karanka’s Nottingham Forest are both said to be keen on Jack Marriott.

Nottingham Forest should steal a march on Derby County in the race to sign Jack Marriott by bidding now.
Derby are said to be waiting for Matej Vydra is sold to finance a deal for Marriott.

And that means that Forest should put the pressure on the Rams, by bidding now.
The Reds have an opportunity to seal a deal for the striker, before Frank Lampard’s side have a chance to react.
Derby are thought to be open to selling Vydra this summer, but they are yet to agree a deal.

And without raising the money through the sale of Vydra, they reportedly don’t have the funds to afford a bid for Marriott.
Forest, therefore, could benefit from bidding in the coming days, to ensure that they have a clean run for the forward.
And if they are could bring in Marriott before their rivals even have a chance, then that would have to be considered a major positive for Aitor Karanka’s side, as they look to improve their attack next season.
