Nottingham Forest should enquire about the Tottenham Hotspur defender.
If rumours are to be believed then Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Borrusia Dortmund centre-back Matthias Ginter this summer (via The Guardian).
Should such a move materialise then it would mean another season on the fringes for highly-rated Spurs defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, who made four senior appearances for the North London club last season.
There is every chance that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will try to loan him out this summer – and Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton should be head of the queue.
Warburton has a strong relationship with the Lilywhites after bringing a number of their academy prospects to Ibrox during his 18-month stint in charge of Rangers.
He never signed Carter-Vickers but it is certain that the 54-year-old knows who he is and how good he can be.
The 19-year-old is one of Tottenham’s most exciting young players and a season in the Championship would stand him in good stead ahead of trying to break into Pochettino’s plans for the 2018-19 campaign.
Of course, Nottingham Forest already have an exciting young defender of their own in the form of Joe Worrall, but competition is healthy and Carter-Vickers would also keep the likes of Michael Mancienne and the maligned Matt Mills on their toes.
It is certainly a realistic signing for Forest. Question is whether or not Warburton wants him.
