The Reading midfielder has had a sensational campaign, yet is out of contract in the summer and would be brilliant for Forest.
Danny Williams of Reading (L) and Aaron Mooy of Huddersfield Town in action
While Reading are still mourning their play-off final defeat to Huddersfield Town, the future of Danny Williams remains very much up in the air – and Nottingham Forest should do all they can to exploit this.
The 28-year-old midfielder was absolutely devastated following that defeat on penalties, as reported by Get Reading, and was seen in floods of tears after the match, which could well be his last in a Reading shirt.

Williams is out of contract in a few weeks time and as of yet, there has been no news regarding a new deal – and the US international would be perfect for the system that Forest boss Mark Warburton is looking to implement.
While the Reds have David Vaughan as a superb ball winning midfielder, they need a box-to-box midfielder who can break up play at one end and making things happen at the other, and that’s exactly what Williams has done in his 47 appearances for the Royals in all competitions this season.

In those 47 appearances, Williams got four goals and one assist, but showed that he is arguably good enough for lower half Premier League sides, so he would represent a superb capture if Forest could sign him.
There will be a summer of upheaval at The City Ground, with Warburton looking to trim his squad and bring in some quality additions – but Williams would be the best of the lot if they could convince him his future is on Trentside.
