Nottingham Forest were first linked with Queens Park Rangers midfielder Massimo Luongo last summer.

Nottingham Forest should consider making another move for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Massimo Luongo in the January transfer window.
Rangers resisted Forest’s advances on that occasion, but Mark Warburton’s side should push ahead with their attempts to bring the Australian to the City Ground when the transfer window opens again.

Luongo has played a key role for QPR so far this season, missing just one match to date, and he has even worn the captain’s armband more recently.
Rangers are unlikely to be wanting to sell Luongo in January, but it would be a statement of intent if Forest were able to complete the deal.

Luongo could offer Forest creativity and steel in their midfield, and his arrival would give Warburton a lot more quality to work with.
And if Forest do have funds to spend in the new year, then they should go straight back in to attempt to get a deal for Luongo completed.
