Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates has been linked with both Bolton Wanderers and Rotherham United.

Bolton Wanderers and Rotherham United are both keen on signing Yates on loan, and that deal could be ideal for Forest.
With the Reds likely to strengthen in midfield this summer, Yates could struggle for game time at the City Ground.

The youngster looks ready to play regularly though, after impressing on loan at Notts County and Scunthorpe United last season.
And Forest have the perfect opportunity to see if Yates is ready for the Championship, without having to take the risk of putting him into their own first-team now.

Bolton and Rotherham are both said to be looking to house Yates for a season, and if Karanka cannot offer him regular football, then Forest should see the deal as one which would benefit them.
The Forest youngster would likely start for either Bolton or Rotherham next campaign, and that experience of playing in the Championship is likely to be invaluable to Yates’ development.
