- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that Nottingham Forest have seen an offer turned down from Liverpool for a goalkeeper addition.
Nottingham Forest have been busy in the summer transfer market and it looks set to be a frantic 24 hours for the East Midlands side as the transfer window is set to shut on Friday evening at 11pm.
Sources have told HITC that Nottingham Forest are keen on Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who has been linked with a move to Celtic all summer but it is the East Midlands side who have made a move for the Irish shot-stopper.
Nottingham Forest sold Odysseas Vlachodimos to Newcastle United for £20 million and the club are looking for a replacement.

Nottingham Forest see Caoimhin Kelleher offer turned down
HITC understands that Liverpool have rejected an approach from Nottingham Forest for Caoimhin Kelleher this summer.
Liverpool insist they are not able to let Kelleher leave as they need him as number two. Kelleher wants to leave and has made his feelings known.
In a bid to try and solve Liverpool’s issues of being without a backup goalkeeper, HITC understands that Forest offered Liverpool Matt Turner but the Anfield club turned down that proposal from the East Midlands side.
Earlier this month, we reported that Liverpool were ready to allow Kelleher to leave the club on a permanent deal with multiple clubs keen on the Irish shot-stopper.
HITC understands that Arne Slot is a big fan of Kelleher, who was labelled ‘world-class’ by Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk after that Wembley masterclass against Chelsea, per Sky Sports.
But Slot’s Anfield bosses are reluctant to stand in Kelleher’s way. They are ready to listen to offers and – while Alisson’s backup has impressed during the pre-season tour of the USA – Kelleher remains unsettled with his current role in the squad.
Nottingham Forest keen on new goalkeeper
HITC understands that Forest are keen on signing a new goalkeeper this summer and were keen on Sam Johnstone and Aaron Ramsdale.
We reported that Southampton have agreed a fee with Arsenal for Ramsdale and the English goalkeeper is set to fly to the South Coast to complete his medical before joining the club ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.
However, both Ramsdale and Johnstone are heading elsewhere so time is running out for Forest to bring in a goalkeeper if that is indeed their plan.
