Nottingham Forest reportedly want to sign Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Colback is open to returning to Forest for the 2018-19 campaign, having spent the second half of the past season at the City Ground after joining the Reds on loan from Premier League side Newcastle in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old former Sunderland midfielder did quite well for Forest, scoring one goal in 16 Championship appearances.
Lure of Championship playoff push
Forest were not in the running for the Championship playoffs last season, but the Reds will be aiming for promotion during the 2018-19 campaign.

That could lure Colback to the City Ground, especially as it is clear that he does not have a future at Newcastle under manager Rafael Benitez.
Colback would be a good signing for Forest in their quest to finish in the top six of the Championship next season.
