Nottingham Forest visit Stamford Bridge – the home of the Premier League champions Chelsea in the EFL Cup third round, a tie which represents a great opportunity for the Reds to ‘have a go’ with the London club clearly the favourites.

Forest have started the Championship season in patchy form, losing on the weekend to Wolves in the Championship. But, their season could receive a massive boost if they can pull off an unlikely result in the Cup against the Blues.

Chelsea may field a number of youngsters, but talisman Eden Hazard is expected to start his first game after a long injury layoff.

Interestingly, Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton made wholesale changes to his starting lineup in the last two games in the League cup and has hinted at using his squad for the game midweek.

Mustapha Carayol, after his wonderful strike on the weekend, may get the nod along with the ever-excellent Everton loanee Kieran Dowell. Warburton might want to keep his defence and midfield intact for the tie, despite the recent defensive errors which has led to goals in the Championship.
