The Algeria ace, whose time at the City Ground was hampered by injuries, has left the Championship club to link up with Greek giants Olympiacos.

Several Nottingham Forest players have taken to Twitter to wish Hillal Soudani all the best following the 31-year-old’s switch from the City Ground to Olympiacos.
The Algeria international had only been at the Championship club for one season, joining in the summer of 2018 from Dinamo Zagreb, a club for which he was prolific (86 goals and 54 assists from 196 appearances according to Transfermarkt).
Indeed, Soudani began brightly at Forest, scoring twice in his first four appearances, but unfortunately, injuries severely hampered his time at the club, and in the end he made just three starts from eight appearances, and only one start in the league (Transfermarkt).
On Tuesday, the Reds confirmed on their official website that the winger had joined the Greek giants – who are strengthening for a Superleague title bid after finishing second in the season just gone – for an undisclosed fee.
Soudani posted a short tweet in which he looked ahead to the new challenge:
And some of his now ex-teammates took to the social media platform to wish him good luck:
Forest are due to play Olympiacos – who are also owned by Evangelos Marinakis – at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium next month as part of their pre-season programme, so the players could be renewing acquaintances before too long.
