Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka appears to be determined to improve his side’s attack.

If Nottingham Forest can use Diogo Goncalves and Marcus Maddison down either flank for next season, then they will be Championship defences’ worst nightmare.
Goncalves signed for Forest from Benfica yesterday, and the Reading Chronicle claim that the Reds are leading the way to bring in Maddison.
Aitor Karanka has made improving Forest’s attack one of his top priorities this summer, and with Goncalves and Maddison running at full-backs, they will be a major threat.

Goncalves and Maddison are both able to perform down either flank, which means Forest will never be predictable within games.
And the pair’s ability in possession would make Karanka’s side one of the most dangerous in the entire division.

Maddison contributed 23 assists for Peterborough United in League One last term, while Goncalves was given game time in the Champions League with Benfica.
And Forest’s attack could be completely transformed, if the pair are linking up at the City Ground next term.
