Nottingham Forest take on Cardiff City this evening in what should prove to be a tight fixture in the Championship.
It has been a tumultuous week at the City Ground. Reports in the press made some extraordinary claims about Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi’s demands for selling the club.
He has since released an open letter to Forest fans which made it clear he was willing to sell 100 per cent of the club amid rumours of interest from American John Moores – the owner of Major League Baseball side San Diego Padres.
It was something of an olive branch from the Forest owner, who has become increasingly disliked by the Forest supporters.
Now, ahead of the game this evening, he has again shown his support to his club, with this good luck message on his official Twitter account:
As expected, much of the response was negative, but many Forest fans are now beyond anger. The most important thing for Forest is to bring about the right change for the club to find a platform that can finally take the club forward.
A win this evening would also give the Forest fans something to cheer about.
