Jamie Ward joined Charlton Athletic on loan from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Ward joined League One club Charlton on loan from Championship side Forest in the summer transfer window.
The former Aston Villa man, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, is scheduled to stay at The Valley until January 2019.
The 32-year-old has suggested that he is open to making his loan move to Charlton permanent.
The South London Press & Mercury quotes Ward as saying regarding a permanent move to Charlton: “Yeah, definitely – as long as everything is good for my family. We said in that last window that I was ready to move anywhere in the world.
“It [being in the final year of his contract] is just one of them things. I’m not the only player whose deal is up at the end of the season, there will be a lot of footballers fighting for contracts between now and the end of the season.
“It’s a case of me just trying to perform, do as well as I can to try and secure another two or three years for my family.”

Nottingham Forest exit
Ward has not been able to make an impact at Forest in recent years, and it would make sense for the Northern Ireland international to leave the Reds on a permanent basis.
With his current contract at the City Ground running out at the end of the season, the former Aston Villa man would be quite an attractive prospect for many clubs as he will be a free agent.
Ward joined Forest in the summer of 2015 after leaving bitter East Midlands rivals Derby County at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
