Dynamo Kiev are ready to sell Ukraine international Viktor Tsygankov for a fee of around £9 million with Nottingham Forest joining Premier League rivals Brentford in pursuit of the talented winger, according to SportArena.
After months of speculation, you can probably make out the briefest glimmer of light at the end of a long and winding tunnel. Arsenal, Fabrizio Romano reports, are finally closing in on the long-awaited arrival of Mykhaylo Mudryk, despite Shakhtar Donetsk’s well-publicised reluctance to back down from their £85 million asking price.
Mudryk’s price-tag has risen as rapidly as his reputation. To think, when the jet-heeled 21-year-old held talks with Brentford last summer, he was reportedly valued in the £20 million bracket. Mudryk rebuffed the Bees, however, and could now be in line for a mega-money move to their London rivals instead.

Brentford’s ongoing pursuit of attacking reinforcements, meanwhile, has led them back to Ukraine. According to SportArena, Mudryk’s 25-year-old compatriot – Viktor Tsygankov – finds himself on the radar of both Brentford and prolific talent-hoarders Nottingham Forest with over two weeks of the January transfer window remaining.
Nottingham Forest and Brentford like Ukraine international Viktor Tsygankov
Dinamo Kiev, the report adds, are willing to accept offers of £9 million, so long as Brentford or Forest are willing to include a 30 per cent sell-on clause in Tsygankov’s contract. He will be a free-agent next summer and appears to have little interest in an extension. Hence why Dynamo are ready to sell for a knock-down fee; their hands firmly tied behind their back.
The Israel-born forward, like Mudryk, is left-footed, creative and brimming with potential. He has nine goals and six assists this season, and prefers to cut in from the right-hand flank in a manner reminiscent of Arjen Robben, Mo Salah or Riyad Mahrez. UEFA’s official website even likened him to a young Gareth Bale back in 2018.
“I think that Victor has been ready for a foreign club for a long time,” says former Ukrainian Premier League coach Vyacheslav Grozny (FanDay). “He’s not renewing his contract, so it’s clear he wants to leave.”
Grozny believes that Tsygankov would be an ‘ideal’ replacement for the now-Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo at PSV Eindhoven.
“To be honest, I see him in Gakpo’s place at PSV. It would be ideal for him, because the Dutch championship is very technical. PSV has a problem in this position, and Tsygankov has a great left foot.
“My opinion is that he should leave.”
Brentford have already signed Freiburg speedster Kevin Schade this month. Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, are looking to replace the transfer-listed Emmanuel Dennis; Arnaut Danjuma and Ismaila Sarr also on the radar.
