Derby County striker Jack Marriott has made a blistering start after signing for them rather than Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest must regret not pushing for Jack Marriott, after the striker’s blistering start to life at Derby County.
Forest were leading the way for Marriott at one stage, as reported by the Nottingham Post.
But Derby ended up securing the signing of Marriott in the end, and Marriott has been brilliant for Frank Lampard’s side so far.
Marriott has hit four goals in his last five matches, and he has scored against Manchester United and Chelsea so far this season.
The 24-year-old has been nothing short of a revelation at Derby, and Forest must have some regret about not pushing harder for him now.

Of course, Lewis Grabban has been in great form since signing for the Reds, but other than him, Aitor Karanka’s options up-front look short.
Forest are still fighting to get a work permit for Karim Ansarifard, as they look to strengthen up-front.
But if they had managed to get a deal for Marriott over the line then Forest would surely have had no such problems in attack, as he would have been a superb signing.
