Former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett is the favourite to take over at Nottingham Forest, according to Skybet.com.
Forest are on the hunt for a new manager following the dismissal of Philippe Montanier on Saturday evening.
Montanier was relieved of his duties at the City Ground following a goalless draw with Birmingham away from home at St. Andrew’s in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
According to Skybet.com, Rowett is the favourite to replace the Frenchman at the Championship club with odds of 5/4.
The 42-year-old is without a managerial job at the moment following his departure from Championship club Birmingham in December 2016.
Nigel Pearson is the second favourite with odds of 5/1, while Nigel Clough is the fourth favourite and is rated at 8/1 to take over at Forest.
Pearson was appointed the manager of Forest’s fierce rivals Derby County in May 2016, but the Englishman parted company with the Rams in October.
Clough started his professional playing career at Forest and was in charge of Derby from 2009 to 2013.
The former England international is currently the manager of Burton Albion, who are playing in the Championship this season.
Former Queens Park Rangers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is the fifth favourite for the Forest job with odds of 12/1, while caretaker-boss Gary Brazil’s odds of getting the role on a permanent basis are 7/1.
