Nottingham Forest’s Hildeberto Pereira has commented on his future.
Nottingham Forest loanee Hildeberto Pereira has told today’s edition of Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, as quoted by SAPO Desporto, that his dream remains to play for Benfica’s first team.
Pereira, 20, penned a season-long loan deal with Forest back in July, having racked up 37 appearances for the Benfica B team since 2014.

Benfica wanted Pereira to go out and get first-team football, and he’s certainly had that so far, playing 12 Championship games and featuring in two EFL Cup games as well, bagging one goal and two assists.
It hasn’t been all good for the Portuguese ace though, as Pereira – who has played at right back and on the right of midfield during his time at the City Ground – has remarkably received three red cards this season, all of which have come in his last eight games.

Discipline can be a problem for young players, but that record is a major problem for Pereira, who will be hoping to build on his current tally of five caps for the Portuguese Under-20 side.
Pereira may only be on loan at Forest, but he recently told the Nottingham Post that Nottingham is already in his heart, and he would be happy to stay at the City Ground.
Now though, Pereira has somewhat changed his tune. Speaking in today’s edition of Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, as quoted by SAPO Desporto, Pereira admitted that whilst he feels good at Forest, he still harbours the dream of playing for ‘the club of his heart’, Benfica.

Pereira suggested that he is fighting and waiting to play for Benfica, with the youngster seemingly setting his heart on a return to the Estadio da Luz rather than staying with Forest long-term.
“I’m working a lot and I feel good here, but Benfica is my home, the club of my heart and I keep the goal to come back and play at the Estadio da Luz alive. I am fighting and waiting for this opportunity to realise my dream, which is mine and my family’s: play for the Benfica first team,” he added.
