Nottingham Forest suffered a defeat to Barnsley.
Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has apologised for his error against Barnsley.
Forest suffered a 1-0 home loss yesterday with Connor Hourihane scoring the winner.
Henderson spoke openly to the club’s official website about the late goal and took full responsibility for the defeat, admitting that he feels he has let his teammates down.
He said: “Who would be a goalkeeper? I am gutted. I thought we were in control of the game in the second half and I let the boys down massively. I save those with my eyes closed in training every day and he has taken it quickly but I have got to do better. I am very disappointed.
“It doesn’t mean anything to make other saves during the match. The back four were magnificent today, Hobbsy in particular was a rock and I felt I let them down today.”

Henderson, 28, was making his first start for Forest since August and his error was a clear sign of rustiness which comes with lack of match practice.
Montanier’s side are not blessed with many options and may choose to stick with with Irishman, with a FA Cup match away at Wigan up next.
Forest are now in 20th position in the table and only two points clear of the relegation zone.
Henderson’s error and his comments highlight a lack of confidence in the squad at present and Forest desperately need a turnaround in fortunes.
