Nottingham Forest fans have been discussing the possibility of signing Jack Marriott in the summer, and they are keen to see the Peterborough United man brought to the City Ground.

Marriott is the Football League’s top goalscorer this term, after a remarkable campaign for Steve Evans’ side.

Marriott has 31 goals in all competitions, with the forward vital in Posh’s push for the League One play offs.

Forest fans have been watching Marriott’s progress with interest, and believe he is ready to make the step up to the Championship now.

Forest previously took Posh’s best striker in Britt Assombalonga, and he went on to have great success at the City Ground, so the hope would be that Marriott could do the same.

The 23-year-old former Luton man is blessed with great pace and a tireless work-rate, and he would surely strengthen Aitor Karanka’s options for next season.

Posh are unlikely to consider letting Marriott go on the cheap though, as co-owner Darragh MacAnthony has always demanded a high price for his side’s key players previously.

Forest are likely to be in the market for a new front man next term, as they have failed to find a prolific scorer this season.
