Nottingham Forest finished a long way behind Derby County this past season, but there is hope that the table are turning at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest fans want Frank Lampard to get the Derby County job, as they feel it could be a disastrous appointment.

Lampard is now the bookies’ favourite to be Derby’s next manager, with the Rams tipped to be considering handing the Chelsea legend his first chance in management.

And Forest fans are keen to see Derby appoint Lampard, as they believe it is a gamble which could backfire for their rivals.

Forest supporters on social media website Twitter have not been particularly sympathetic towards Derby’s current struggles of late.

Derby lost their manager, and may well have to sell key stars in the summer, to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

The Rams also recently lost in the play offs to Fulham, just to compound their misery.

Forest, meanwhile, are set to invest in their team and there is growing optimism that Aitor Karanka can turn them into promotion contenders.

Forest finished well behind Derby this term, but there is a feeling around the City Ground that the tables could be turning.
