The City Ground defender had a lacklustre day as Sabri Lamouchi’s side fell to defeat.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have been commenting on Twitter about their performance against Wigan Athletic at the weekend and Tobias Figueiredo’s performance came under some scrutiny.
The Reds central defender wasn’t at his best during the play which led to the Wigan goal in the 35th minute and should have cut out the cross for Jamal Lowe, who duly poked home for what turned out to be the Latics’ winner.
Things didn’t improve for Figueiredo and he almost gifted a second to the hosts after misjudging a long ball over the top, and as such some Forest fans made their feelings known about him on social media.
Wigan also twice struck the woodwork through Charlie Mulgrew’s free kick and Kal Naismith’s late effort, while Rafa Mir and Lewis Grabban both missed gilt-edged opportunities for Forest as Sabri Lamouchi’s side remain fourth in the Championship table.
Figueiredo, capped up to Portugal B and Under-21 level, joined the City Ground side in 2018, initially on loan in January from Sporting Lisbon before completing a permanent move for around £2million in the summer (Transfermarkt).
