The Reds have announced that they will increase funding to the Ladies’ team.

Nottingham Forest have announced that they will increase funding to the Forest Ladies team as part of a ‘one-club’ approach set to be adopted by club owner Evangelos Marinakis.
The Ladies’ team will now operate “fully under Nottingham Forest’s control at the City Ground” and a number of their games will be held at the stadium next term, the club wrote in a statement.
Previously, Nottingham Forest Ladies operated independently, and were previously the benefactor of a financial donation upon the takeover of the club.
Senior members of the club will now be focusing on the development and success of the club’s female programmes, while more staff is set to be appointed.
Lee Billiard has recently been hired as general manager of Forest Ladies, and the application process for an experienced full-time manager / head coach will begin shortly.
The club also spoke of how the increased funding will help towards such resources as in-depth video analysis, fitness performances data, injury prevention monitoring and additional medical care.
Forest’s statement was welcomed by the Trickies fanbase on Twitter, with some of the comments below:
Attendances at Forest Ladies matches increased by over 90 percent on the previous season, according to the official website.
