The Reds ace tried to rouse the supporters ahead of Saturday’s Championship home game against Brentford. Reaction was somewhat mixed.

Joe Lolley has claimed that Nottingham Forest still have a lot to play for and called on the Reds fanbase to keep playing a role in helping them achieve success.
However, his comments have not been taken well by some supporters, who have all but given up on promotion this season and reacted with bemusement.
Forest’s official website referred to how the club’s past three games at the City Ground sold out, while tickets for Saturday’s Championship home game against Brentford are at limited availability as of Wednesday afternoon.
As a result, Reds fan favourite Lolley stated he was eager to put on a display for the fans and told the Forest Review, as quoted by the official website: “The crowd have been brilliant this season, supporting in their numbers. The support has always been terrific and we need to pay them back.
“The support is so important and there is still plenty of cause for optimism as there is still so much to fight for. We know we need to go on a run and win games but it is possible. With their support it does help and they have been brilliant, home and away.”

However, Forest have hardly been making waves in recent months, and Martin O’Neill’s charges lost 2-0 at Birmingham City on Saturday, missing the chance to edge to two points behind the top six.
At present, the Reds are 12th in the standings, five points off the playoffs, and their recent form has been poor – a look at their last 10 league games shows two wins, two draws and six defeats (TWTD).
As a result, there wasn’t that much enthusiasm about the upcoming game and Lolley’s comments from some sections of the Tricky Trees fanbase, who reacted on Twitter:
Some fans, however, were a bit more optimistic and appreciated Lolley’s sentiments:
