The Sweden U19s defensive player has rejoined his former club Malmo. Some Reds fans weren’t happy to see him leave.

Some Nottingham Forest fans have bemoaned the departure of Anel Ahmedhodzic after the defensive player rejoined Malmo on a permanent basis.
The 19-year-old, a defender and defensive midfielder who plays his international football for Sweden’s Under-19s, moved to the City Ground in 2016 from the Swedish club, and made his first-team debut in a 3-1 defeat against Newcastle United just over two years ago.
However, according to Transfermarkt, Ahmedhodzic has failed to add to his senior appearances for the Reds since that game, in which he came on as a late substitute, and has largely remained within Forest’s Under-23s setup during his time at the club.
The move was confirmed earlier this week on Malmo’s official website, Ahmedhodzic penning a contract until 2022, and the player himself also tweeted about how pleased he is to be at “the best club in Sweden” and expressing his eagerness to win titles.
Given Ahmedhodzic appeared on the verge of breaking into the first team on numerous occasions, having been involved in numerous pre-season training camps, the reaction on Twitter from some of the Forest fan base seemed to have a tinge of regret about his departure:
