The Reds midfielder, on loan from Benfica, helped the City Ground to a point as he impressed against Marcelo Bielsa’s side, the Whites having to settle for a point.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to praise Alfa Semedo’s display at Elland Road as the Reds claimed a 1-1 draw against Leeds United in Saturday’s early Championship kickoff.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined on loan from Benfica in July, put in a good display in Forest’s season opener against West Bromwich Albion and picked up from where he left off when Sabri Lamouchi’s side took on Marcelo Bielsa’s charges.
Semedo put in a resolute, battling display which featured two interceptions, four clearances and one superb block (Whoscored) in the opening 20 minutes after Leeds broke into the penalty area on the left-hand side, which was hailed by the away stands and vividly celebrated by the player himself.
Many Trickies fans were impressed with the Guinea-Bissau ace’s display in the Baggies loss, and during and after the Leeds game there was yet more praise going his way on social media:
Semedo helped Forest battle back to get a point as Lewis Grabban scored to cancel out Pablo Hernandez’s second goal of the season and earn Lamouchi and co their first point of the campaign.
