The City Ground manager masterminded a perfect month for the Reds in the Championship.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Reds manager Sabri Lamouchi being nominated for September’s Championship Manager of the Month award.
The City Ground boss enjoyed a perfect record in the league last month as he masterminded a superb 1-0 victory away at then Championship leaders Swansea on 14 September before notching up the same scoreline at home against Barnsley.
Forest’s next league game was at Stoke City on Friday 27 September and they came from behind to register a 3-2 win that put them top of the Championship table for the first time in five years (BBC Sport), all of which went a long way to their current second-placed ranking level on points with leaders West Brom.
As a result, Lamouchi is in the running for the monthly accolade along with WBA’s Slaven Bilic, Garry Monk of Sheffield Wednesday and Preston’s Alex Neil, with the winner announced tomorrow.
Here is what some Forest fans said on social media in response to the club’s Twitter update, with plenty mindful of the supposed ‘MOTM curse’:
Forest are next in action on Sunday 20 October as they travel to Wigan Athletic.
