Nottingham Forest picked up a decent win in the Championship, with Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback impressing again.

Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jack Colback after the midfielder put in a very good performance in Aitor Karanka’s side’s victory over Birmingham City on Saturday.
Forest went into the game off the back of an impressive 5-2 win over Queens Park Rangers last weekend, and they managed to make it back to back wins at the expense of the relegation candidates in what proved to be Steve Cotterill’s final game in charge of the Blues.

Joe Lolley and Matty Cash may have scored the goals, but there were a number of impressive displays from the home side, including one from Newcastle loanee Colback.
Colback could not get a look in at St James’ Park this season, often turning out for the under-23 side before he secured a loan move to the City Ground – but he has proven to be a very shrewd signing for Forest so far.

He was impressive in the middle of the park alongside another recent signing Ben Watson, and that has helped give the fans plenty of confidence heading into a week which sees them host their bitter rivals Derby County after a trip to Norwich City in midweek.
And several of the fans who have taken to social media have suggested that they would like to see the club look to sign Colback permanently at the end of the season if he continues to impress.
Here is the best of the reaction…
