Nottingham Forest fans were delighted after the club confirmed that they had signed Gil Dias on loan for the coming season.
A number of Nottingham Forest fans took to Twitter to respond to Gil Dias’ tweet after he completed his loan move to the City Ground to become Aitor Karanka’s fifth signing of the summer.
Forest have wasted little time making changes to their squad after their uninspiring campaign last year. They broke their club record for most expensive signing with the deal for Joao Carvalho, while also bringing in Michael Dawson and Tobias Figueiredo on permanent deals.
Dias becomes Forest’s second loan signing following Diogo Goncalves’ arrival from Benfica. The 21-year-old has joined from Monaco, and the club have confirmed on their official website that they could make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
Though he is yet to make his mark for the Ligue 1 giants, he did impress on loan with Fiorentina last year, making 27 Serie A appearances for Viola, including nine starts. He provided two goals and contributed two assists, which is not a bad return at all given the number of starts he made.
And after completing his move to the Championship side, Dias took to social media to comment on the switch and insisted that he is looking to take the club back to where many feel they belong.

Unsurprisingly, there was a lot of excitement surrounding Dias’ move, with many feeling that he is the latest brilliant signing from a Forest side that have perhaps made more statements in the market than any other Championship side thus far.
Many of the fans believe that he is an excellent addition to the ranks and hope that he can continue to realise his potential during his time in England.
