The Reds attacker, reported to have been on Villa’s radar, penned a new deal until 2023 – but some fans still think he’ll leave in the summer.

Nottingham Forest fans received some good news on Thursday as it was announced by the official club website that Joe Lolley had signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground.
The 26-year-old attacker, who joined the Reds from Huddersfield Town just over a year ago, has agreed to a deal which will keep him at the Championship club until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Lolley has made 50 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals, including eight strikes from 35 games this season, and was linked with several clubs in the Premier League and second tier over the past few months.
The likes of Crystal Palace, Watford, West Bromwich Albion (Daily Mail), Newcastle United and Fulham (Mirror) were reportedly interested in the Forest ace, while The Sun suggested he is a possible replacement for Jack Grealish at Aston Villa.
Hopefully for Reds fans, all the speculation can be consigned to the past with Lolley putting pen to paper on a new deal, not to mention his comments upon extending his stint at NG2, as quoted by the official club site.
“I am delighted to be able to repay the faith the club has shown me over the past year and to be able to secure my long-term future here at the club,” he said. “It is a place that I enjoy playing my football so it was an easy decision for me to be honest.”

Following the announcement, some Tricky Trees fans took to Twitter and gave their thoughts – plenty of positive tweets:
Some fans were a little more restrained and perhaps even sceptical in terms of his future beyond the summer:
