The Reds ace, who penned a new contract this week, didn’t even need words of his own to send some Forest fans into a frenzy.

Nottingham Forest fans have endured a rollercoaster of emotions so far in 2019, with New Year’s Day bringing a 4-2 win over Leeds United, only for Aitor Karanka to leave the City Ground 10 days later.
Then came the homecoming of double European Cup hero Martin O’Neill and another Reds alumnus in Roy Keane, but on the pitch there remains little to shout about, with two defeats in their last three Championship games.
Therefore, the news that Joe Lolley has signed a new deal at Forest will have come as just the tonic for many Reds fans, who had to endure an anxious January transfer window in which the 26-year-old was linked with a host of other clubs.
The likes of Crystal Palace, Watford, West Bromwich Albion (Daily Mail), Newcastle United and Fulham (Mirror) were reportedly interested in the Forest ace, while The Sun suggested he is a possible replacement for Jack Grealish at Aston Villa.

Following the club announcement of Lolley’s new deal, which lasts until the end of the 2022-23 season, the player himself sent a Twitter message quoting the club’s original tweet and adding a celebratory emoji:
