Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has suggested that Joe Worrall will remain at Ibrox for the rest of the season.

Rangers have received a major boost ahead of the second-half of the season, with Steven Gerrard confirming, in comments reported by The Scottish Sun, that Joe Worrall is set to spend the rest of the campaign on loan at Ibrox.
There had been a suggestion that Nottingham Forest could recall the centre-back with new manager Martin O’Neill having to cope with a number of injuries to his defenders.
But Gerrard suggested that the Championship side have missed the chance to bring Worrall back to the City Ground, and thus, he will stay at Rangers until the summer.

“So Joe will remain here for the rest of the season.”
The Gers boss’ comments have attracted a mixed response amongst the Forest fans on Twitter. There are some who feel that Worrall staying out on loan is a positive as he is playing regularly and starting to really perform in the Scottish Premiership.

It appears that some feel that he would benefit from not returning during this window, and would be better off staying until the summer when it will be easier to adjust back at Forest.
But others have slammed the club. It does appear that O’Neill will need to add further to his options this month, and many feel that Worrall would have been perfect. It is obviously not O’Neill’s fault given that the cut-off date came before his appointment, but some are not happy with those who could have ended his loan spell during this window.
Here is how some of the Forest fans have reacted to Gerrard’s comments…
